Each month we feature an adoptable pet chosen as a favorite by a CBHS staff member or volunteer. This month’s “Pick of the Litter” is Jasper, chosen by CBHS Head Medical Technician, Amber Lang.
“I chose Jasper because he’s a dog that always gets overlooked and I’m not sure why. He’s an amazing dog who is extremely smart. Pit Bulls get a bad reputation from the media hype and false information that is portrayed about them. This blocky headed wiggle butt just wants someone to spend time with. Jasper can be a stubborn boy but he is an extremely fast learner. We never try to pick favorites but this boy has stolen my heart. The way he pushes his shoulder up against the kennel to be petted and looks at you with those deep eyes, praying someone will see past the false stereotypes; melts my heart. I have no idea why he has been here as long as he has, but a lot of people are missing out on an exceptional dog!”
Visit the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo to meet Jasper and fill out an adoption application. Our adoption center is open Tuesday-Sunday 10am-5pm.
