This month’s “Pick of the Litter” is Beluga, chosen by Adoption Counselor, Ryan Vasquez.
“Beluga is one of the sweetest dogs that you will ever meet. She only has love to give and wants to be with you all of the time. Due to her larger size, she is a less active dog, who is totally content with sitting around and soaking up the sun and relaxing with her adopters. I try to visit her every day that I am working and take a little time out of the day to go to her kennel, sit next to her, and give her the attention that she desperately wants. Beluga needs someone who will work with her weight loss with exercise and is willing to help her through some of the health issues that she has due to excessive breeding and lack of exercise. Beluga has had a rough life, and this wonderful dog needs time to just learn how to be a dog and relax for the rest of her life.”
Visit the Cedar Bend Humane Society in Waterloo to meet Beluga and fill out an adoption application. Our adoption center is open Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm., Thursday and Friday until 7:00pm through August 31st. The adoption center is closed on Mondays.
